When my pawrents lived in town, the local Episcopalian church served the traditional Fat Tuesday meal of pancakes and sausage every Shrove Tuesday. The pawrents went every year.

This is what my typist makes for supper every Shrove Tuesday.

But the pup Flicka's English Mum always said that in England, the pancakes are actually what we call crêpes, so this is what they serve in England on Shrove Tuesday:
