I sure do, practically every single night! I'll sleep with Mommy just for a nap or for all night. I've done this ever since I was adopted. I love being next to my Mommy.

I didn't sleep with them over the summer but now that the weather is cooler I'm sleeping on their heads every night. I've taken over the job of monitoring their dreams. I don't allow nightmares because then they move around too much and disturb me. That's not allowed. If I sense a nightmare coming on, I lick their heads to wake them up gently.
(sigh) Caring for humans is a full-time job.

I usually sleep with Mom in the winter, during the colder weather. During the warmer months of the year I don't sleep with her as often. If she takes a nap during the day I sometimes snuggle with her.

*giggles* Purrsonally, I don't approve of daytime naps for humans. While I'm busy with my all-important midday nap, they're supposed to be up and about, taking care of my palace!

TUESDAY QUESTION -- October 11
Do you have a special morning routine? If so, what is it?

On the weekdays, I wake up next to Mommy & jump off the bed. I sit in the hallway waiting for her to get up & get me my wet food with my Zyrtec in the kitchen. I eat my food with my medicine & I'll usually lay in the dining room waiting for Mommy to leave for work so I can block the front door begging for treats.
On the weekend, it's the same, except I don't have to wait for her to leave for work. After I eat my wet food, I usually find Mommy & beg to be petted.

I usually wake Mom up extra early for my breakfast and let her go back to bed after she puts my food down. If it's a weekday Mom will get up an hour or so later to get ready for work. I greet her and wait for her while she takes her shower. I greet her again when she gets out and I get some extra pets. I eat a little more of my breakfast while Mom gets her tea, and then I usually settle down for my morning nap while she finishes getting ready for work. Sometimes I'll have a play session first. If it's the weekend, I let Mom sleep in after she feeds me, and then when she gets up she fixes her tea and sits on the couch to read her devotional and relax. I get in her lap and we have some quality time together.

I lick the humans awake and encourage them to get up. As soon as she is dressed I lead mom downstairs so she can start off my day properly by giving me my brunch treat. Then it's down to the basement to check on dad's art studio and make sure it's safe for him to sit down there and paint. I've got to look out the sliding glass doors for squirrels--they're not allowed in! Meow, then it's time to go up and check on mom again. . . . Before I know it, most of the morning is gone and it's time to settle in for my all-important mid-day nap. Where will it be today--the bed or the linen closet? Decisions, decisions. . . .

TUESDAY QUESTION -- October 18
Do you have any scratching posts? If so, how many, and what kind? Do you actually use them? *giggles*

I don't have any scratching posts. My previous owners had my front paws declawed, so I don't have a need for them.

Jackson Galaxy, the famous cat behaviorist, says that we kitties are all about our "stuff." In that connection, I can report that I am the proud owner of not one, not two, not three, but FOUR upright jute scratching posts! The humans have them next to pieces of furniture that they don't want me to use instead *giggles*. I love my scratching posts and I use them all the time.
I also have portable nibbling posts--I think the humans call them their "legs" or something like that, but they're upright, just like the scratching posts, and so convenient!
