Sunday Party Thread

Mum expected Possum may live for 1 more year. Now he is very clinging. He sleeps with dad in the first half of the night and mum in the second half of h=the night. By dawn, Gaby will yell for breakfast and litter tray clean. The mum will wash her face, take some breakfast and medication, brush her teeth and go back to bed

AH... tell you something inter. May be your church would like to do something similar. Dad's church organise a 3 day camp on training children to be "religious leaders". There are lots of children participating. The accommodation is in a motel near the centre of the city. The church subsidise the expenses and the parents only need to pay $150 for the kids to stay in the motel. There are lots of interesting activity like drama, singing etc... There was one kid who chose to go back home the first night but then told his mum to let him stay in the motel the second night because it is fun and there are lots of friends. Dad is the cook and he cooked very special food... bbq crocodile and skewed prawn, steak and lamb, chinese jelly, CHinese breakfast the first day and big breakfast the second day. The kids hardly have a chance to eat this type of food and they like the food very much. Of course there is a closing ceremony where the kids perform and get awards. It is a joint activity with the help from the principal, social worker and adult church members who sleep in the same room with the kids and check them out. May be your church would like to do something like this?

We probably couldn't do it on that scale but it does sound interesting and fun for the kids. We're always looking for activities to bring more children and youth in.

There are 3 teachers looking after and training each group (9 kids)

Now Gaby finds a very good place to sleep. We bought her a new scratching post and we disembel the old one. There is a tray which she used to use when we live in the old house. Now mum puts it in the corridor with a towel on it. The tray is facing the window of the bathroom and so the morning sun will bathe her. She likes this. Next to the tray, it is the front door. We open the front door and she enjoys seeing the scenery. I wonder if your aaprtment is a sunny place and so you and coco do not get much sun?
