so you know those clear rubber band like things that are attached to shirts to keep it on the hanger? apparently she ate one this morning. I didn't see it but my husband did, he tried to stop her but couldn't get to her in time. im going to call the vet but I though id check her first. from what I have read from a quick Google search that I shouldn't necessarily panic, it could be serious but most likely will just pass but to monitoring her closely.

Smokey ate one of those rubber hair ties one day and he just passed it. Do keep an eye mittens but do not panic.

You should see it fairly quickly, as kitties have a short digestive track. If Mittens starts to act differently or keeps trying to vomit with no result, then a vet trip for sure. Smitty is my "problem child" and will eat stuff he finds if I am not uber careful. He will either barf it up, or I get to see it at potty-box cleaning time.
