Well, I always like to root for the girls but our picks will almost be the same, so I'll jiggle them around a little:
1. Simplification 2. Epicenter 3. Secret Oath (but I'll be happy if she wins)

Thank you, Ætheling, good drinks!
Finishing order of the Preakness:
1. Early Voting 2. Epicenter 3. Creative Minister 4. Secret Oath 5. Skippylongstocking 6. Simplification 7. Armagnac 8. Happy Jack 9. Fenwick
And the owner and trainer of Early Voting said they won't enter him in the Belmont Stakes. This may be the start of the end of the Triple Crown series?
Twinkle, you got 2 out of 3 -- not in that order, but you picked them.

Thanks Athena (In Memory) & Ætheling. Wow, I am picking them well this year. I hope I get lucky in the Belmont too.
I don't see the triple crown being changed around anytime soon. I hate all this talk of how it's too soon between races... blah.... blah. I do agree, but the tradition has been like this for years. It's not supposed to be easy. That's one good reason why we've only had 13 triple crown winners.
What I WOULD like to see changed is entering more fillies in triple crown races. Did you hear Jerry Bailey mention that Nest might be running in the Belmont? I sure hope so! Only twice in history have fillies raced in all three races. Genuine Risk in 1980 & Winning Colors in 1988 & both of them won the Kentucky Derby! Genuine Risk did great in all three. I think this is really the discussion the racing world should be having when it comes to the triple crown races.

Genuine Risk would have won the Preakness, too, if she hadn't been mugged by Angel Cordero. I'd stop running, too, if someone hit me in the face with a riding whip. Didn't like Cordero after that.
I've heard that trainers feel fillies aren't physically developed enough to run in such long races so early in their 3rd year. And years ago there wasn't a watch kept so closely on how many horses (female and male) broke down in training. I also think it takes a certain kind of trainer to handle the girls -- less rough, more gentle.
