I have been very worried about this. That's why i couldn'y make my mind to adopt a kitty. I don't want them feel lonely when i wasn't at home. And i also worried that he will do something dangerous to hurt himself if i wasn't see him. Someone may say yes, some may no. I still just want to be a good mom. Because a kitty could make myself never feel lonely. But i don't want him to be. Here it says cats can take care of themselves well; Will the Cats Feel Lonely Alone at Home? . I have no idea, do you?

A lot of people have to leave their animals at home alone while they go to work. I left Twinkle alone everyday for 11 years & she did just fine. I think it's really sweet that you are so concerned about being such a good cat mom, but I do think you are worrying too much about it. I think this link has some good information: petcube.com/blog/cats-home-alone/

My humans are retired so they are at home with me most of the time. But before they retired they always had kitties who had to amuse themselves while they were away working. Mostly they napped while mom and dad were away. The main thing is for the humans to give plenty of attention to their kitties when they do come home, and to make sure the house is safe and comfortable for the kitties while they are away.

Coco's mom here-
I work full time and each of my cats (I've only had one at a time) have been fine while I'm at work. It's a good idea to have things to help keep them amused/entertained, such as a cat tree or perch where they can look outside and watch birds, people, etc. ("Cat TV") and toys they can play with by themselves. And of course, safe comfy places where they can nap. As Lily says, be sure to give your kitty plenty of quality time when you are at home.

It's normal to wonder if your cat will be lonely when you leave for work. Cats are independent creatures, but they also need social interaction and attention. However, the effects of loneliness can be minimized by providing your cat with adequate stimulation and an improved environment. When I visited the cat store, I found a wide range of accessories, toys and other items essential for my cat's well-being. To keep your cat from feeling lonely while you're at work, consider providing interactive and stimulating toys. Toys such as treat dispensers, mechanical mice and feather balls are great for keeping your cat busy and happy in your absence. You may also want to consider investing in a cat tree or wall shelves for cats to climb and explore their environment.
