I'm doing a lot better now. I guess I just had a really bad spell. Hopefully I am over it now. If anything changes, I'll let everyfur know.

I just got back from the vet. I do have Lymphoma. There's no way I'll allow chemo pills shoved down my throat & I won't handle an IV either. Mommy is going to try a combo of steroid & B-12 shots. The vet said that he has seen a lot of cats around my age respond well to this treatment. He wants Mommy to bring me in every 2-3 weeks to have my weight checked. How often I get these shots depends on if I keep my weight up & if I keep throwing up on average of twice a week. I'll need treatment anywhere from once a month to perhaps once every 2-3 months. I got my first round of treatment today. We are playing a waiting game right now. The vet said if I respond well, it could add perhaps up to around one to one & a half years to my life. Without treatment, he gave me around 4-6 months, but that's just a guess. Mommy is devastated, but she was expecting this news.

Mommy's researching foods, supplements, things like that to see what she might be able to give me that'll help. Right now I'm having an allergy attack. That's my worst problem right now.

Well, I saw a new vet yesterday. Mommy had to struggle to get my records. The old vet REFUSED to give her hardly anything even though she was entitled to lab reports & things of that nature. The vet said that if my new vet wants them, then he if call them & ask for them himself. Can you believe that???
Mommy can see now why I have went so rapidly downhill since I started going to that vet in April 2017. He & his staff are complete uncaring jerks. Mommy said she can see now all the his mistakes he made with me. Sometimes Mommy thought that what he was saying wasn't the right thing, but she still blindly trusted him because he's supposed to be the expert after all. We, especially me, have paid a heavy price. For one thing he didn't do anything to catch my Lymphoma a lot quicker. I've been sick for a while now, but he wouldn't do what he should of to help me. After I kept getting worse & worse, he finally did the needed test to diagnose me, but by then it had spread. Even after I was diagnosed, he still didn't attack the Lymphoma aggressively enough. Even the new vet said that. He also said it should have been caught a lot sooner. Yeah, my old vet sure screwed me up. Don't even get me started on him giving me that horrible Reglan that has made me crazy!
The new vet gave Mommy some liquid steroids to give me at home. I don't remember now just what the instructions are (it's at home), but I know it's once or twice a day for a week & then I can't remember. Mommy can't start me on it yet until I come off Meloxicam. I think after a week, he's going to try to see if I might take some liquid chemo, if possible. It's interesting how my old vet NEVER gave any of this as an option. He just said to do 1 steroid & 1 B-12 shot every 4-8 weeks depending on if I kept throwing up & if I kept up weight up. When Mommy asked about liquid & pill chemo that could be given in my food, he acted like that wasn't an option. It seems clear to us now that this old vet doesn't really know what he's doing & this guy has been practicing since 1980! Scary!!
If something is telling you that you vet is wrong or if something is just screaming at you that something's not quite right here, then you are probably correct. Yeah hindsight is 20/20. It's all so clear now. Mommy feels like this is all partly her fault for trusting this guy. I mean she has the internet at work & at home. It wouldn't have taken her much time to do some research.
Also, I'm the only cat she's ever had. She knew next to nothing about cats when she adopted me. Again, the internet is right here. She should have researched the best foods, best vets, & a whole lot more, but she didn't. She just did whatever the animal shelter or whomever told her, no research, no using any common sense, nothing. She just blindly listened to all the wrong people. This has all been too much. She said that she doesn't EVER see herself getting another cat ever again. She had no idea that it would be this hard & this painful. Actually, even though the new vet did agree to try to help me, he did tell her that it'll be a miracle if it really works with everything that's wrong with me & with how the Lymphoma has spread. He said he thought it would be a lot more humane to just let me go & really she agreed with him. She thought she might feel horribly guilty if she didn't at least try one last thing, so that's where we are now. I don't have much time left. Trust your instincts, don't let what happened to me happen to you.

I'm not getting any better. I've lost practically all interest of everything. Pretty much all I want to do is hide. There's just too much wrong with me. I've fought the good fight. I can't fight anymore. Tomorrow afternoon I'll be going to Rainbow Bridge.
