Is it just me or does canned cat food not have enough moisture in it?? I am constantly putting water in Hunters food. Some foods I find are actually dry... not like dry kibble, but just... dry. I don't know if its just me, but I think all canned cat food should have more moisture in it.
I don't buy canned food with gravy in it, because I find its less of the actual food. I pay for cat FOOD, not cat gravy.
Am I making sense?

I totally agree with you Hunter. Although I add water to Macys food due to his urinary issues, Sonny will eat nothing but Fancy Feast pate, and lately it comes up as a hard lump, not a moist soft food that he can savor and enjoy. Another thing my vet told me is that they are now discovering that wet food does not have enough omega 3 in it, which is vital for a cat with FLUTD. She prescribed high dose omega 5 oil capsules to add to his wet, and now if I can only get him to eat it.

We got some and it was like rubber, canned food from a well known supermarket, it was really hard to break up with a fork, we've not bought it since.

Some foods don't seem very "mushy," but I guess you're getting more food, and not just paying for water. My cats don't have health issues, so it's not a problem. Plus, they only get canned food as a treat.

Then if you want to give them some extra moisture, get some high quality wet food, which can be mixed into the dry or given on the side.
