I'm like you, Coco. I hate going because I hate leaving my palace for any reason. But once I'm there, I behave. They say I'm a good kitty, too. Meow, well, after all, I know the vet even longer than I know mom and dad--he worked for the shelter where I spent five years, and he neutered me and gave me vaccinations.
My older brofur Apollo was a terror at the vet--they could never control him at all. He was strong, too! But he couldn't match my older sisfur Nina. Even before she would start swiping unprotected arms with her claws, her bloodcurdling hisses alone would strike fear into every vetly heart. . . .

TUESDAY QUESTION -- June 12
The humans believe that we kitties live only in the present and don't plan ahead. What do you think?

Good question. I guess humans think that because they don't believe we have a lot of things to plan like they do. But I do have to plan where I'm going to take my nap every day and think about what kinds of Fancy Feast I like on a particular day.

I plan my naps too! I also plan where to intercept my humans so they'll turn on the faucet for me. I love running faucets! *giggles*

TUESDAY QUESTION -- June 19
This week's question comes from Twinkle. Do you prefer playing with humans, your fursibs, or alone?

I don't have any fursibs. My Mommy works, so I get used to being alone. I do love to get attention from her when she's home, but mostly I love her to pet me & I love laying by her. I'd rather play alone. That's what I'm used to.

I don't have any fursibs, either. I'll play alone, but I do like for Mom to play with me and give me attention. I like it when she throws my toys for me to chase.

I like mom and dad to pet me and spend time with me, but I prefer to play by myself. I had lots of furs to play with at the shelter, but staying home quietly with mom and dad and just enjoying their company suits me best!

TUESDAY QUESTION -- June 26
Have you ever caught a mouse?

I never go outside. I've always been indoor only so the only mouse I've ever caught are just my furry toy mice that just lay in wait. It's easy to catch a target that doesn't move.

I'm indoor only, too, but I have caught a real mouse! A couple of years ago when Mom and I were visiting Grandma a little field mouse somehow got inside the house, in the kitchen. I saw it under the utility cart and lunged at it, and knocked it on its back. Mom spoiled my fun right at that moment and scooped it up and tossed it outside.

I'm like you, Coco! It was last Friday night, and I was visiting the Late Late Show group when mom saw it--it had gotten in somehow. I had to interrupt my visit to go and catch it for her. I did--I swiped it with my paw and carried it in my mouth to dad and dropped it in front of him so he could dispose of it. (Mom is fairly useless in such situations; her only contribution was to write a poem praising my heroic behavior. *giggles*)

TUESDAY QUESTION -- July 3
Do you celebrate the Fourth of July at your house? If so, how?

|
Post by Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) on Jul 4, 2018 11:32:16 GMT -5
When Mommy was a child & teenager she & her pawrents would go outside & shoot bottle rockets, roman candles & she forgets what all else. Mommy hasn't shot fireworks since she moved out on her own, so we do not celebrate at home in the traditional way anyway. Does always watching The Twilight Zone marathon every July 4th count? It's weird that it's not on this year. The Syfy channel is showing all of the Nightmare On Elm Street movies instead.

Mom and Dad like to stay home and relax on the Fourth, or go swimming if the weather is nice (as it is today!). They also like to reread the Declaration of Independence, which is why the Fourth is important, after all.
