Mum then went to dad's house and do the same thing. The problem is because there is a large sloe and so the gardener needs a lot of mulch. The mulch has not arrived yet but it cost much more for maintenance than mum's house. Actually mum wants to do it before the tenant came in but it was rented in a rush and so mum does not have the opportunity to do that. Now she contact the agent and the agent contact the tenant about our visit. The tenants have a pure bred radoll cat and a black manx. They are very friendly. Because the house is from the trust, I will use the trust money for its maintenance

Yes, they do. They keep the grass mowed and hedges, etc. trimmed and do regular maintenance of the A/C units, and other needed work in and on the buildings.

Then mum text her friend (the other trustee) what she has done. The trustee said she should have discussed with her before upgrading the houses. She also said it is the responsibility of the tenant to gerni the driveway and tidy the garden. Mum did not argue with her and went to re-read the exit report. Yes, mum has to fix the gerni and garden. So she just return a text message to her and that's it

I guess your apartment is looked after by the corporate management? The landlord pays for the maintenance fee. WE do the same in Oz. SOme of the fees is very expensive. If you live in a better apartment, the coporate fees can be $7000 a year!

Doing that regular maintenance and upkeep on rentals will pay off in the long run.
Nice to have cat people for tenants, LOL!

Yes, the landlord is now a property management company. They took the apartments over from the individual landlords who owned it previously. They've (the company) done a good job upgrading the apartments and doing needed maintenance.

Last week, Gaby just close one of her eyes (right eye) all the time and we took her to the vet. The vet said her cornier has a lesion and she gave her ointment and painkillers. Review after 3 days. The second visit has her eye open a bit more. But she still has to continue the medication. The vet said if her problem persists, they will need to send her to the specialist. The specialist only visits the clinic twice a month. This time, Gaby has eye drops. We went for the third visit yesterday and it seems Gaby improves a lot. The vet was sick and so she refers us to a very experienced colleague. This vet used to look after us (Tobbie and Momo). He took a photo of Gaby's eye and see what the original vet said. He did not think Gaby will have a big problem. Review next Friday. If things does not work, they will sand Gaby's eye to get rid of the lesion. Do not think you and Coco have any eye problem?

Hope the vet is right, and Gaby's eye will continue to get better.
I never had major eye problems. Coco has a small brown spot on one of her eyes, but it's not an issue for her, yet. The vet told Mom to watch it and bring her in if it the appearance changes.

Ah... Mum bought a passport cover in Oz. There are cheaps ones on the web but mum and dad wants real leather. It is more expensive but is more durable. We go to Oz company website because we know different countries has different size in their passport. DO you need a cover for your passport?

At first the vet said Gaby is lucky because we took her in quickly. So, she does not need to lose her eye.

Mom has never gotten a passport, so I don't know if a cover is required or not. Mom would definitely want one that's durable and will last.
