It's true that Macy's has closed a number of stores around the country, starting a few years ago. A couple in nearby larger cities where Mom used to shop are now closed.

Walmart might be closing some stores, but ours is still open. I don't think Walmart is going anywhere anytime soon.

I suspect those other stores are also closing some stores in certain locations, but I don't think they're going away as far as I know.

Tell you something funny. I rang the cat grooming company but they said their groomer is only available next Tues but Gaby and Possum need a vet review. They said the next time the groomer available is Oct. Another Pet shop said they have only onne groomer at the moment and she only grooms small dogs. SO mum wash them at home. Gaby has not been washed for a long time and when mum set up the gear, she does not seem to remember it is time for her to run away. Gaby gets used to bathing and so mum could deal with her. Mum only washed Possum once in these 10 years and so he struggled in the shower recess and cried sadly. He is very nosey and mum never closes the bathroom door. So he cam in and watch mum taking a shower. Then he went into the shower recess to drink. Mum suspected he has PTSD after taking his shower. Then the next day, mum turned on the tap and wait for the hot water to come in the shower recess. Possum sat next to the shower recess and cried sadly again. Mum though may be he thought he is going to have a shower again. But mum hopped into the shower recess and clean herself. Possum cried more loudly. May be Mum being tortured in the shower recess and so he called for help on behalf of her. Later on he just sat at the bathroom watching the shower recess. Does your mum open the bathroom door when she takes a shower so that you and Coco can go in and watch?

Mom does leave the bathroom door open when she showers, but mainly it's to keep the bathroom from steaming up so much. Coco doesn't go in at all when Mom is showering. She's always been wary of it. She used to wait outside the door in the hallway and greet Mom when she came out and rub all against her. She may have had the same idea as Possum, that Mom was being tortured in there or was going to get washed away, and was so happy to see her when she came out. She doesn't do that so much anymore.

I did used to sit in the bathroom, usually on the sink, and watch Mom in the shower.
