Hope your mom is recovering well from her surgery. Mom took painkillers for awhile but gradually got off them.

This week, I am learning about parasites. There isa boxfly in central america and south america. They catch a mosquito and lay egges on them. The then mosquito bites the animal and the maggots get into the skin. They eat the hose and develop into a "butterfly larve". Then the cyccle starts all over all. They can hang in anything, even human being. The vet find the larve and pull them out. The pull out is very satisfying like pulling the blackout out of the skin! There a lots more other parasites in US. What I find is people touch the groud (with leaves and dirt on it etc...) and they will catch it

Yes, people often don't realize how easy it can be to pick up those kinds of parasites.

Usually, the parasites will head to blood vessels and destroy the RBC. Then there is no O2 and nutrients and you have multi organ function failure. One parasite lives in the nostril but it eat fresh flesh. Most other eats dead flesh. Luckily it did not travel through the tunnel towards the eye or else you will be blind. But they get to the mouth and you have gingivitus

There is a more horrified case. The parasites start eating the throat and the esophegus. The doctos has to operate immediately to cut off all the dead tisues. The guy has his throat p[en like a anatomy book. Then they use a piece of skin in this body to cover the throat

Sorry, Mom had to step away for a few minutes.
Those parasites are nasty for sure. Coco went to the vet last week for her itching. She got a steroid shot and a few days later Mom gave her a dose of the Bravecto that she got from the vet, as she had picked up a few fleas that came in from outside.

How come Coco always pick up fleas from outside? She seldom goes out? Or she gets it from the plants?

Mom does laundry every couple of weeks. She's definitely not a fan of ironing and does it as little as possible. She has a couple of blouses that have to be ironed, so they don't get worn very often, LOL.
Coco is strictly indoors. It isn't hard to get the fleas. They're pretty bad here this time of year and they can get inside anytime you open the door, or come in on your clothes or shoes.

Yes, Mom sees those posts or videos about the British and about other famous people/celebrities. She's skeptical how much of that stuff is true. Most of it is what you call "clickbait."
