Mommy went to a TNR Workshop at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society that was presented by Alley Cat Allies a while back. It was informative. She took home lots of information. I was adopted from the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. Mommy has gone to a few workshops there.

All mum's cats are cats just travelled to her house- Tobbie (or being brought to her house when left behind after their family had moved and dumped her- Momo). Then mum kept them. When she went back home, Auntie Narrissa looked after Tobbie and Momo for years. Mum used to have some feral cats (Maxi) when she lived in student accommodation. In summer when she went back home, her flatmate would stay there and left some cat biscuits and water outside. WE had no idea who ate them. When the semester began and even students were moved to different buildings, the cats would show up. Maxi did not just brought her husband Tommy to here to eat Ox tail, she also brought her kittens. May be it is the rule of nature, the kittens would left home later and never came back. Only the 'prefect' kitten stayed behind. Then she left also.

They are really community cats because they blended in with not just human and also other animals as well. Tobbie and Momo would not be happy if cats that have owners came to eat their food. But they always left the food to Walter- a feral with a dented ear. The three of them could gather together at night to enjoy the breeze. Dumped cats also help other ferals and dumped cats. WE humans sometimes should be ashamed of ourselves because these cats are more humane than us.

That's true, Gaby!
At our house, we love stories about feral cats!

Lily, I never heard that---that's interesting that they're changing what they're called.

I like the name "community cats"!
I didn't know about National Cat Day! Thanks for letting us know, Twinkle. Of course, we cats would say that every day is National Cat Day! *giggles*

Silly me! Of course Twinkle is correct. Halloween proper is two days after National Cat Day.
