So the vet kept Raya all day and didn't operate until 4 p.m.? They shouldn't make her wait that long.
Years ago, mom's vet used to do that -- wait towards the end of office hours to do surgery. Mom's one dog waited all day like that to get spayed and mom didn't like it and told him about it. He got kind of snippy and told her she could take her dog to another vet if she didn't like the way he ran his practice. Mom didn't do that but a few years later mom noticed that he set aside certain morning hours to do surgery.

I guess they overbooked that day. The same vet that did Big O's surgery did Raya's. Her surgery day is on Tuesdays. When mom called to schedule Raya's surgery, they first booked Raya's surgery for this past Tuesday the 23rd. They wanted to check her ears and give her a FeLV shot the day before. But then they said they could do it all at once on that one Tuesday. Mom was wondering how many pets had surgeries when there were a few dogs in the waiting room already at 7:45 when they open at 7:30. Then mom had to be at work for 8:30.

When Big O had his surgery, he was done by 2:30 but of course mom had that appointment for almost two months.

Yeah, when you bring an animal in for surgery and it hasn't had anything to drink since midnight and it isn't operated on until late afternoon and won't be allowed to drink afterwards for a few hours -- duh!

Raya ate a little bit and drank a little right after she got home. Mom kept the water fountains up until 6 am that morning. Mom took up the dry food about 10 or 11 the night before. Mom put Raya in the carrier then fed all of us before she left. Mom saw where the gifts that we received are and accepted some but now she can't find it again!

Seen any movies lately? There doesn't seem to be anything good out there.

Mom can't remember what movies they've seen. They just finished watching a two part documentary on Steve Martin. They watched the series Shogun. It was really good. They watch this traveler show with Gene Levy. Dad likes to watch some chef stuff.

Mom put Raya on a Paw Plan from the vet, It costs $67 a month. It covers two vaccinations and two appointments. A dental cleaning and bloodwork and some other stuff. It was a good deal. It comes out of mom's bank account every 3rd of the month. Then she gets 10% off services. The extractions and meds aren't covered so Raya's bill for her surgery was $965. Thank God for Care Credit.

So I guess mom will keep Raya on the Paw Plan. Raya will get a dental cleaning every year. Raya was the only kitten who had an upper respiratory infection when the kittens were tiny so mom thinks that's what caused the tooth problems. maybe Calcivirus. Like Big O, her body is treating her teeth like foreign objects. She doesn't have FIV though.

If the insurance helps out, it's worth it.
We watched Shogun once or twice but kept on forgetting when it was on.

I guess the whole site went down last night. Mom couldn’t log on on her phone or computer. ☹️

Yeah, we thought it was our computer, but we were able to go to other websites. Hope everyone just "hit the pillows" anyway!
