So Oreo is ALWAYS hungry. Literally. I increased his meal proportions by 100% and he's still always hungry and still skinny. Not underweight, but not very much fat. He seems in very good health otherwise and we saw the vet for a yearly checkup just recently.
Is it just genetics? I knew Oreo's mother, and she was pretty skinny, too. He has a similar build to her. (Similar personality, too.) Now Oreo's mother WAS neglected, I knew her original owners. I also knew her after she got a better home and better care.

How old is Oreo again? I know that genetics can play a part in a cats body structure, but sometimes they just need to grow into their bodies. When Sonny was a kitten he was thin and long but his paws were huge! He grew into his body and now is a big and healthy 14lbs.

Some breeds are skinny by nature. Siamese comes to mind. If he is healthy don't worry. Is he neutered? that will cause him to gain weight.

Oreo did you not say before that you had been put on a raw diet? Be a raw feeder my self , I was thin too, so are the dogs. You need to be able to feel the ribs but not see the ribs and have a waist from the top view. Feed 2-3% of your pet's body weight daily . Here is a food calculator for dogs and cats. calculator Here is a another one link

I have a 15yr old Maine Coon, she has been no bigger than 6.5pds. So, I would have a talk with your vet and go from there. Mine said as long as she is Peeing, pooping, playing and eating, enjoy your kitty.

Consult your Vet first before changing the cats diet. If you change it to quickly your cat could get diarrhea or other stomach problems.
