I believe I have posted about mittens anxiety issues before but ill bring you up to speed.
Mittens is a very anxious cat, has been since about 6 months old. loud noises she generally runs and hides, same goes for visitors. if its a calm group or those she is very familiar with she will eventually come out and visit however if its kids, or loud or more then just a few she will hide until they are gone if not well after. We had a gender reveal party for some friends recently and they brought balloons, which we have now discovered she is terrified of. she hid for 24 hours after they we got rid of them despite our efforts of showing her they were gone.
Pinecone on the other hand is Mr. social. He LOVES to party. The gender reveal party was the best time of his life. seeing how relax and confident he is makes me really want to help mittens. I had tried the sentry cat diffuser and to be honest that seemed to do very little. I would guess the fact that we had it in our living dinning/room area, because that's the main area didn't help it to work because its quite large room. so I decided to try the collar. Literally just put it on her so early to tell but when I opened it powder went everywhere andI'm hoping that doesn't make it ineffective.
Has anyone tried it? what was your thoughts.
TIA

I have tried the rescue remedy and it seemed to have worked....Sonny is a big scary cat also, he runs at the slightest noise. He has gotten better as he gets older, but he is just really ultra sensitive to noises. You could also try calming treats or a stress free cat food for mittens. Calming treatsOr a homopathic remedy may help also: HomeoPet Anxiety TFLN Natural Homeopathic Remedy for Pets

We have never tried a calming collar. I have a friend named Mauricio, they have quite a few cats in their family. I know they have used these collars on a few of their cats with success.
