ok so we every few weeks/months we give mittens a bath (she smells) and she is not a fan at all. she clearly hates it . however afterwards when she has dried off pretty good, she like LOVES us, and everything else for that matter. wants to cuddle and knead us, non stop head butting us. everything she see she needs to rub up against. this is even more unusual considering she has never been overly affectionate, she will be on her own time, as long as you don't move but never like this. do other cats do this? does she just feel fresh like we do getting out of the shower? lol any ideas as to why she does this?

not sure that's a good guess, she has done this almost everytime I have given her bath from the time she was about like 8 weeks old. has to purr in our faces.... I just don't understand it because she hates the bath itself. my other guess is she maybe feels like her mommy was grooming her?
Do not give him a bath,he will be terrified and possibly not trust you again.Have you heard of those baby wipes? Try them and while he is sitting down maybe on your lap, stroke him calmly and then stroke him with the baby wipe. If it doesnt work rub him with the baby wipe a bit firmer, but not too hard otherwise this will hurt him.
I have a stray cat, due to her nature when I found her (which is outdoor kind) I never bath her and she will scream like she see a big monster when I bring her to the bathroom. So I really do not know if I get a chance to bath her. As long as she is active and healthy that is fine for me

My guess is she rubs herself all over everyone & everything to get their scent back on her. She probably doesn't like not having her house & humans scent on her so she rubs everyone & everything a lot.

One common issue that pet owners may have is they will ask themselves of their vet “Do I need to give my cat baths.” The answer to that is it varies. You may be hesitant about that because there’s that common misconception that cats can’t stand water. Well, let’s debunk a couple of these myths, and we’ll tell you right now whether or not if your cat needs a bath.
Sundance: I started a thread in the Rainbow Bridge forum if anyone wants to say a few words.

Toto_Lady_Max: Have some sad news. Toto went to the bridge today. He has been hurting worst. This morning he was in severe pain so the vet said it would be best to say goodbye to him. Mommy's heart is broken.
