Naw, mom was just joking about "lobsters". The crawfish might taste different than those that are in the lake.

I knew your mom was joking about the size of the lobsters. 🦞 They really wouldn’t serve ones that small. 🦞 But it is funny.

Wow Milo your food is FURTASTIC!
It’s time to start seriously pawtying!
I mixed up my usual Mardi Gras cocktails for all of us. The first ones are spicy, the others not:
3 SPICY ONES:
The Flambeaux:
Simple syrup, Southern Comfort, Tabasco sauce, orange or pineapple juice, and garnished with an orange slice, a cherry, and a mint sprig.:
Cajun Whiskey Blackberry Cocktails:
Rye whiskey, fresh lemon juice, blackberry syrup, Tabasco sauce.
This next one sounds REALLY spicy:
Bayou Bloody Mary:
Vodka, Tomato juice, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Horseradish, Celery salt, Pepper, Lemon juice, Celery sticks.
For more Southern personality, add a few crawfish tails and some extra spice on the rim.
Sounds pretty spicy with all those ingredients! Anyfur brave enough?
3 less spicy ones:
Mardi Grass Kiss:
Rum, amaretto almond liqueur, simple syrup, pineapple juice, lemon slice.
Masked Lady:
Passion fruit vodka, gin, triple sec, lime juice and pineapple juice, soda water, dash of bitters, and garnish with mint.
Southern Champagne:
Southern Comfort, dash of Angostura bitters, chilled champagne, and garnish with a lemon twist.
ENJOY!

I am thinking of maybe taking just a little sip of that really spicy cocktail. I am feeling wild and I really want to see what it tastes like. 🙀

Happy Mardi Gras! We're glad y'all enjoyed Coco's info about the crawfish. Milo, yes, Mom lives in Southeast Texas, near the Gulf Coast, and they get a lot of rain and the crawfish are plentiful. They're also not that far from the Louisiana border and there's a strong Cajun/Creole influence in the area. A lot of French Creole families settled in SE Texas in the mid 19th century and many of their descendants are still here. Mom isn't a big crawfish fan - she prefers shrimp and catfish.
Wow, this is a pawsome feast - thanks, everyone! I think I'll try the spicy cocktail, too.
