OK, well, I thought it was great that Swiss Skydiver beat the boys by winning the Preakness, but I'll bet on the "old lady" in the Distaff --
1, Monomoy Girl 2. Swiss Skydiver 3. Horologist

I'll always feel sad that Maximum Security got screwed out of the Derby which he won. So many good horses in this one may depend who gets the breaks, so to make it more interesting, I'll go with:
1. Tiz the Law 2. Maximum Security 3. Tom’s d’Etat

Distaff results:
1. Monomoy Girl 2. Valiance 3. Dunbar Road 4. Harvest Moon 5. Ce Ce 6. Point of Honor 7. Swiss Skydiver 8. Ollie's Candy 9. Holorogist 10. Lady Kate
Swiss Skydiver stumbled badly coming out of the gate, fought her way along the rail and came up on the inside down the homestretch, but then started falling back, which her trainer said after the race wasn't normal for her, so I hope she didn't get hurt in that stumble.

I waited to post because I had a strong feeling that Swiss Skydiver did get hurt & it might take a few days for it to come out. She did get hurt. Preakness Stakes winner Swiss Skydiver will be on the mend until 2021 according to a social media post from her trainer, Kenny McPeek. “Swiss Skydiver injured her heal much worse than originally thought,” McPeek said in the post. “We put her on antibiotics and will watch closely. Very unlucky but she will rebound in 2021”. The filly was originally thought to have merely suffered nicks and bruises after stumbling out of the gate at Keeneland on Saturday. Swiss Skydiver got off poorly in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff on Saturday, a race that was billed as a battle between the filly and 2018 Distaff winner Monomoy Girl. Swiss Skydiver got off to a bad start, sustaining the heel injury and finishing seventh. After the race, owner Peter Callahan confirmed to Horse Racing Nation that Swiss Skydiver will run again in 2021. “My family, they’d kill me if she was retired,” Callahan said.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, and sorry for the poor little horse. But I'm sure she'll be back well and strong in 2021.
